How to BHIM app Download for Digital Payments– Just after demonetization of old 500 and 100 Indian rupees note government has been insisting since November 2016 to make cashless society. Although people who have been suffered from 50 days, at the end BHIM app decided to be launch. A few days ago government has been running campaign ‘Digi Dhan Mela’ to educate and promote cashless transactions. Today Friday, 30 December 2016 our prime minister Shri Narendra Modi announced BHIM app to be launch for the nation. BHIM app is rebranded version of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) app at the Digi Dhan Mela camp in Delhi.
To use BHIM app is very simple and its process of downloading and installing is very simple. The BHIM app is built for an easily use even non-technical person can make easy money exchange through this app. The interesting part is that it’s only 2MB in size on the other hand usual apps occupies approx 15-20 MB on installing so it’s fast to download and ready to operate.
When you start the app after installation you will be asked to give permission to send SMS and after that, you have to register your phone number. Once you complete registering your mobile number you will be asked to set 4-digit password code and after that, you have to select your bank in which you have an account.
In BHIM app you will have ‘send money’, ‘request money’ and ‘scan and pay’ option on top of the screen. By default, your registered mobile number is set as UPI address into your app. You can customize your UPI address easily, which you can set your name or your mobile number or your full name. Your default UPI address will be 9756234152@upi.
If you have your bank account in multiple banks you can switch very easily between banks in just a few clicks. On the homepage you will have ‘my information’ tab, where you have to choose your bank account; you will have the option to change or reset PIN request for the account balance. On the top right corner, you can easily spot three dots to switch to a different bank account.
As UPI is based on IMPS (Immediate Payment Service), the transaction takes few seconds to accomplish. One of the traits of this app is – the payment app works 24*7 and 365 days. The value limit of transfer will be minimum 1 and maximum 20,000 INR. However, in a single day, you can transfer Rs. 10,000 maximum.
No doubt, BHIM is very simple and easy to make payment. Another feature also is given in BHIM app is Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) which makes an easy transaction like checking the prepaid mobile balance. The government has announced Aadhaar Payment app for merchants, through which you can make payment using your Aadhaar card and fingerprint.
