SG
SGs often come equipped with mahogany bodies. A thick block of mahogany imparts its distinctive sound, giving a distinct difference from an ebony Les Paul. This difference becomes even more notable when using humbucking pickups, which feature two coils connected by opposite polarities.
It allows the guitar to pick up overtones that would otherwise become feedback and gives notes a later bloom than solid-body guitars, giving the instrument a “crunchy” tone.
Spruce
With such a long and distinguished history, it’s hard to overstate Gibson’s place in music. From Korina-bodied Flying Vs to Mother Maybelle Carter’s L-5, the name brings to mind some of the most iconic guitar designs in music history.
While it has a lower Janka hardness rating than Sitka Spruce, Adirondack is still very stiff and requires high thickness to make an acoustic guitar sound good. It’s also a beautiful wood available in various finishes, and it looks amazing with a striped ebony fretboard. So, whether you want to play fingerstyle or strum, this is an excellent option for any genre of music.
ES-335
No matter your experience level as a guitarist, the Gibson ES-335 guitar can fit your playing style. You were crafted of solid mahogany for warmth that pairs nicely with its humbucking pickups. It also features a Florentine cutaway that makes accessing higher frets easier.
Though initially designed as a jazz instrument, the ES-335 also found its way into blues players’ hands. BB King became known by many for his fondness for his black 335 (nicknamed Lucille). Larry Carlton used his ES-335 to add subtle articulations into his smooth jazz sounds using subtle articulations on his instrument – two examples that helped make the ES-335 iconic among artists today.
ES-345
The Gibson ES-345 is an updated version of their semi-hollowbody classic. A versatile guitar, this semi-hollow body masterpiece can be used in blues, jazz, rockabilly and country music genres – even B.B. King had one! Moreover, this model includes Varitone electronics from its predecessor ES-335 and an engraved truss rod cover bearing his logo for easy identification.
Like its other Gibson models, the ES-345 can vary widely in value depending on its year of production and condition. Gibson guitar experts suggest prioritising instruments manufactured between 1959 and 1965 as these have wider neck styles measuring 1 11/16″ compared to thinner neck styles found in later models.
ES-355
The ES-355 electric guitar was manufactured from 1958 to 1982 and became increasingly popular. While often associated with jazz players, this instrument became one of The Smiths lead guitarist Johnny Marr’s go-to choices; he owned three separate copies and used them extensively during live performances and Top of the Pop appearances.

ES-357
The Gibson ES-357 was their thinline three P-90 semi-hollow body guitar first showcased in 1984 by Mitch Holder of Guitar Player Magazine. It was used in various episodes of “The Dukes of Hazzard,” TV shows, recordings, etc. Check Gibson guitar custom shop.
This electric guitar was handcrafted at Kalamazoo Custom Shop with a natural finish, featuring two inches at its thinnest point and no F-holes. It comes equipped with a Les Paul Custom fingerboard featuring binding and pearl block inlays from Les Paul Custom, an SP-2 headstock veneer featuring binding, crown inlays and standard Gibson hardware, as well as Sustain Sisters–large brass inserts into which are mounted the TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece and Tunomatic bridge for enhanced tuning stability and tuning potential.
